Infographic: The ease of African entrepreneurship

Another fantastic infographic from @ivanisawesome at Afrographique

So if this 2011 data from the World Bank is to be believed, your average South African entrepreneur takes 22 days to complete all the procedures necessary to legally operate a business. It seems things happen faster in smaller countries like Rwanda, Madagascar and Mali -- huh?

Anyway, have a fantastic weekend!

Infographic: Female entrepreneurs in Africa

This awesome Friday infographic by Ivan Colic over at Afrographique shows the number of female entrepreneurs who've embarked on own-businessing in Africa, based on World Bank enterprise surveys between 2006 and 2010. I'd like to think in the two years since 2010 that these numbers have increased dramatically, despite the tricksy economic circumstances we've all been eyeballing. Perhaps in the next few surveys, South African female business owners will get their own "line of achievement" on the map and have a solid enough representation not to have to share accolades with Nigeria, for whom I hope the same. Have a restful, recharging weekend and we'll meet more amazing, innovative entrepreneurs next week.

And to the universe, as usual, thank you for this -- and something better!
